In conditions of economic difficulties of the Ukrainian geological industry UAG assigns a high priority to material and moral support of veterans-geologists and their families.

Work with Youth and Students

UAG pays a great attention to the work with young people. In December, 2003, within the UAG is founded the Interdepartmental Educational-Methodical Coordination Center. The basic task of the Center is the organization of the post-graduate education. The Center creates a data base with information related to graduate student, young specialists and specialists needing professional development and employment or are looking for a job according to their professional experience and knowledge.

The Center with the methodical committee "The Geology" of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine creates also a list of professions and specializations. It organizes training for specialists in geology according to requirements of the institutes, geological and production companies.
